Flatiron is collaborating with construction partners and clients to deliver infrastructure projects designed to enhance mobility and safety while creating greater transportation options in Southern California. The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has awarded the North Coast Corridor (NCC) Segment 4C collaborative delivery project to the joint venture of Flatiron, Skanska and Stacy Witbeck. This $72.5 million project marks the fourth collaboration of Flatiron with Caltrans on the important NCC improvements initiative in the San Diego metro area — bringing the total project value to $737.5 million.

One of Caltrans’ first CM/GC collaborative delivery projects, the NCC is a comprehensive combination of transportation improvements, environmental protection and coastal access projects. Collectively, the projects aim to improve lives, preserve and protect the coastal environment, and strengthen the regional economy.

The CM/GC delivery method is ideal for this project — providing the opportunity for early and ongoing collaboration with Caltrans, our joint-venture partners and other stakeholders.
