The Georgetown Wet Weather Treatment Station earned the 2023 Award for Innovation & Achievement in Sustainability from the Northwest Construction Consumer Council.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span>The award recognizes excellence in the engineering, design and construction of projects complete or nearing completion during the prior two years. Winners can be a person, group of people, process or project that exemplifies outstanding contributions to sustainability and safety on capital construction projects. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span>The station can process up to 70 million gallons of stormwater and wastewater daily, preventing it from spilling into the Duwamish River and Puget Sound. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n During construction, many key sustainability features were considered, including:<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n Flatiron is proud to contribute to improving Seattle\u2019s water quality through this project, which involves the collaboration of the King County Wastewater Treatment Division and the Georgetown community.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n\n
