[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Seattle\u2019s KING-TV<\/span> news ran a news story on Flatiron’s Georgetown Wet Weather Treatment Station on Dec. 13, 2022. Reporter Connor Board spoke with the deputy director of the Wastewater Treatment Division and toured the facility. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n Board reported, \u201cThe deputy director of the wastewater treatment division says the new $259 million facility will take that [stormwater] overflow from pipes during big rain events and filter it before it gets to the Duwamish River and ultimately Puget Sound.\u201d <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n Located in south Seattle, Washington, the project includes constructing a combined sewer overflow wet weather treatment station, related pipes, and a new outfall structure to release the treated water into the nearby Duwamish River.\u202fThe project expects to complete in spring 2023.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n Click the image below to watch the video.<\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n
